BONAR NW Non-woven Fabrics

General information about BONAR NW Non-woven Fabrics

Optimum mechanical and hydraulic properties

BONAR NW non-woven fabrics are manufactured from high-quality polypropylene spun fibres in one of the most modern production plants in Europe. In contrast to conventional, purely mechanically bonded products, these non-woven fabrics are also thermally treated, in a second production stage. This combines the advantages of mechanically bonded non-woven fabrics with those of thermally bonded products.

Due to their excellent mechanical and hydraulic properties, BONAR non-woven fabrics are the preferred geotextile for use in separation and filtration layers in structural engineering and highway and transport infrastructure construction.

A further advantage is the speed of installation on site. The rolls of fabric are easy to unroll and place in position. The fabric can be cut using cutters or Stanley knives, without the blade getting caught in the material. The fabrics are also extremely flexible and can adapt to any unevenness of the ground. A perfect bond between the soil and the non-woven fabric can be formed, guaranteeing long-term performance reliability.

As a result of the thermal surface treatment of the material, the rolls of BONAR NW non-woven fabric are extremely compact: due to the small diameter of the rolls and high volume that can be carried, freight costs are low and storage space can be fully utilised.
