General information about DROPTEC Protection and Drainage Mats
Ideal for extensive and intensive green roofs
DROPTEC combines protection and drainage in one product! This unique product is made of 100 % closed-cell polyethylene foam. The flakes are bonded in a thermal process, without the use of adhesives or chemicals, to form a stable membrane.
A layer of non-woven fabric is bonded to the drainage core and protects it from becoming clogged with fine particles. Overlapping the non-woven fabric along one side and at one end ensures effective, long-term drainage at the joints.
Longitudinal grooves along the underside of the DROPTEC structural protection and drainage matting ensure excellent drainage performance.

for green roofs:
DROPTEC G30 structural protection and drainage matting is suitable for use in intensive and extensive green roof systems. With a thickness of approximately 25 mm, this matting also smoothes out uneven roof areas and functions perfectly even under higher loading.
DROPTEC G20 EX has been specially developed for use in extensive green roof systems with thin layers of fill. With a thickness of approximately 20 mm, it offers the perfect mix of protection and drainage for this type of application. In contrast to DROPTEC G30, which is supplied in rolls, DROPTEC G20 EX comes in sheets measuring 1.00 x 2.25 m. This means that the membrane is also cost-effective for smaller green roofs, on garages or carports, for example.

A further advantage is that it can be transported manually on the construction site. DROPTEC is laid with butt joints, so there is no loss of material due to overlapping. Any cutting required on site can be carried out using a cutter or electric shears.
